We are a chef-owned New American concept that was awarded One Michelin Star in 2021, #2 on Washington Post Dining Guide, Essential 38 from Eater DC, Semi-Finalist from James Beard for Best New Restaurant, and multiple RAMMY nominations. We attribute our success to the team that we have built thus far and we are looking to add another member to the family. For more information about the restaurant, visit www.roosterowl.com.What we are looking for:- an experienced sous chef (or an experienced line chef ready to move up) with an passion for seasonal cuisine and vision that will compliment our cuisine- at least three or four years of experience at a reputable restaurant, preferably critically acclaimed or Michelin-starred- strong sense of urgency- desire to learn and improve on the craft- good communication and leadership skills- ability to work well in a small team dynamicWhat we have to offer:- dinner only Tuesday thru Saturday (Sunday/Monday off each week)- no lunch or brunch shifts- competitive wage and reasonable work hours (50 to 55 average)- PTO, health insurance, and bonus available after a probationary period- Year End Bonus Structure- Dining discount with our restaurants, and a yearly R&D stipend for you to eat elsewhere and learn- supportive work environment- creative input on the menu (we involve the whole team when we work on new dishes)If you think you would be a good addition to our team, please apply with your resume & a short cover letter.
